The title of the blog is inspired by Ricky Martin’s 1999 hit, Livin’ La Vida Loca (Livin’ the Crazy Life) – somehow it seems fitting. Conveniently enough, ‘roca’, the Spanish word for rock, rhymes with ‘loca’, Spanish for crazy,…hmmm…coincidence? You decide, as we cling to cliffs and dangle from our digits, bouncing through South America, livin’ la vida roca (livin’ the rock life).

Iguazu Falls
Discovered by the Spanish explorer Alvar Nunes Cabeza de Vaca, in the year 1542. Iguazu falls contains 275 seperate falls with a height of 65 meters and median flow of 1,500 cubic meters per second. These are the widest falls in the world with a total width of 2700 meters.
